About Us
We have pulled together a team of three strong players to make these resources available to individuals who are serious about preparing for the Praxis™ Exam.
Stu Schwartz currently teaches mathematics at Wissahickon High School in Ambler, PA. A veteran of 33 years, Stu teaches Advanced Placement Calculus and Statistics at Wissahickon and teaches prospective teachers on preparing for the Mathematics Praxis™ Test at Arcadia University, in Glenside, PA. Stu is the recipient of the 2003 Presidential Award for Teaching Excellence. He is committed to teaching students, young and old, the beauty and importance of mathematics.
Ted Tyree is the technology guru and lives in Lansdale, PA. Among his various projects involving computations and computers, he has developed automated software for grading practice SAT exams. His consulting career has included software development for Verizon Wireless, Aventis, IBM, and other Fortune 500 companies. In addition he has tutored students in math and enjoys tackling mathematical challenges.
Kurt Schneider is a student at Wissahickon High School in Ambler, PA, but already has an impressive math resume, having gotten top scores in the Advanced Placement Calculus AB and BC exam as well as the AP Statistics Exam. Kurt, who plans to attend the University of Princeton, has also taken Multivariable Calculus I and II as well as Linear Algebra and Differential Equations through Stanford University. One of his greatest accolades is his becoming one of the youngest chess masters in the United States.
